AirAsia Indonesia officially announces the extension of temporary suspension of their commercial flight services, until the end of this month. This decision was taken to support the government’s policy to suppress Covid-19’s spread.

This flight delay is not the first time this has happened. Previously, AirAsia had announced the postponement of its flights during Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) from August 5 to September 6, 2021.

“AirAsia remains committed to serving regular flights, charters, cargo for repatriation and other essential interests by implementing strict health protocols,”

AirAsia wrote in its official release.

Prospective passengers on scheduled flights that coincide with the termination period, can convert their ticket purchases into a credit account that is valid for up to 2 years for the next ticket purchase.

Passengers are also allowed to change flight schedules until the end of November this year, at no additional cost.

Not only that, passengers can apply for a refund according to the terms and conditions that apply. Passengers can access AirAsia Indonesia services every day from 9 AM to 6 PM Western Indonesian Time. The service was opened on the official AirAsia Indonesia website.

The airline will continue to monitor and evaluate the Covid-19 case development and is preparing to re-open its scheduled service at any time.
