Flying with Taiwanese Airline Gets the Chance to Meet a Soul Mate

Taiwan’s second-largest airline, Eva Air, has partnered with dating app Mobius to help passengers meet their soul mate on a flight titled “Love is in the Air”.

Quoting Lonely Planet on Wednesday (25/11), this unique flight will last for three hours, departing from Taoyuan International Airport on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year.

Daytime flights fly over Taiwan’s east coast, while night flights over the island’s west coastline, including Taipei.

According to Mobius, there will be 32 singles on the flight, split between men and women.

The seating arrangement will have everyone sit next to the opposite gender on the plane.

Requirements for boarding this matchmaking flight are that men must be between 28 and 38 while women must be between 24 and 35.

They must also be residents of Taiwanese citizen and have a minimum bachelor’s degree.

Passengers on Christmas Day flights at noon will enjoy afternoon tea upon landing, while passengers on flights on New Year’s Eve will be treated to a romantic dinner before flying into the sky.

The New Year’s flight starts early in the morning so passengers on board will be served breakfast on the ground. They will also get an equally delicious dessert.

As the COVID-19 protocol, passengers are required to wear a mask when not eating or drinking.

Tickets for this matchmaking flight start at NT $ 8388 (around Rp 4.1 million).
