Garuda Indonesia Has Opened A Domestic Flight Route

PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk has opened 11 new routes for domestic flights. The route is now effective.

President Director of Garuda Indonesia Irfan Setia Putra said that the opening of the new route was aimed at meeting passenger demand.

The eleven new routes cover Bandung via Husein Sastranegara Airport – Denpasar round trip (PP), Bandung via Husein Sastranegara Airport – Medan (PP), Balikpapan – Berau (PP), Balikpapan – Makassar (PP), Balikpapan – Yogyakarta (PP), and Balikpapan – Banjarmasin (PP).

Then, Makassar – Berau (PP), Makassar – Manado (PP), Banjarmasin – Yogyakarta (PP), Surabaya – Lombok (PP), and Yogyakarta – Palembang (PP).

Citing the company’s official website, the state-owned airline offers business and economy class tickets for these routes. For example, a ticket for the Surabaya-Lombok route for business class costs IDR 1.43 million, while for economy class IDR 733 thousand.

Then, the Balikpapan – Yogyakarta route ticket for business class costs Rp. 1.41 million, while for economy class it costs Rp. 1.15 million. Meanwhile, the Bandung – Denpasar flight is priced at IDR 837,200 for economy class.

Garuda Indonesia has also taken precautionary steps in following up on the development of the COVID-19 pandemic by always prioritizing aspects of flight safety and comfort for passengers and flight crew.

Everyone is allowed to fly as long as they carry a Health Certificate with a COVID-19 free test result in accordance with the provisions of the flight destination as shown in the table below.

As for passengers departing from areas that do not have COVID-19 testing facilities, they can be replaced with an influenza symptom-free certificate issued by the doctor from the nearest hospital / health center.
