The government through the Directorate General of Immigration extends the time for foreigners staying in Indonesia to apply for a visa until 20 September 2020.

Head of Public Relations and General Affairs of the Directorate General of Immigration, Arvin Gumilang, said that the provision was contained in the Circular of the Director General of Immigration Number IMI-GR.01.01-0409 issued Tuesday (18/8/2020).

 Arvin said, an extension of a visit residence permit or submission of visa approval can be done by reporting to the local Immigration office no later than September 20, 2020. This applies to foreigners who hold a visit residence permit originating from a visit on arrival visa (VOA), a visit visa for one or several trips, KPP APEC (ABTC), or crew visit and have obtained a forced stay permit. (ITKT).

Meanwhile, foreigners holding free visit visas, Limited Stay Permits, or Permanent Stay Permits that have expired and cannot be extended according to laws and regulations and have obtained a Forced Stay Permit (ITKT), are required to apply for visa approval and report to the Immigration office. at the latest on September 20, 2020.

“For foreigners who do not meet the provisions as referred to above, they may be subject to administrative immigration measures in the form of imposition of burdens / fines for overstaying,” said Arvin in a written statement.
