The increase in new cases and death rates from Covid-19 in the world still continues. As many as 211 million people worldwide have been infected with Covid-19.

This condition indirectly prompted drug regulators in India to approve the emergency use of the Zydus Cadila Covid-19 vaccine.

The permit was issued to encourage India’s vaccination program, so that everyone is vaccinated by December 2021.

Zydus Cadila is the world’s first DNA vaccine against coronavirus that can be given to adults and children aged 12 years and over.

Quoted from Suara.com, this vaccine uses genetic material from the coronavirus that will work as DNA, which gives orders for the immune system to make specific proteins against the virus. The use of Zydus Cadila is given in three doses.

In July 2021, the producer of Zydus Cadila claimed that this DNA vaccine was effective against mutations of the new coronavirus, particularly the Delta variant.

Quoted from cnbcindonesia.com, the company has applied for the authorization of Zydus Cadila on July 1, based on a 66.6% efficacy rate in a late-stage trial of more than 28,000 volunteers across the country.
