History was made at the 2020 American Music Awards (AMA) which was held with limited guests at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, on Sunday (22/11) local time.
Taylor Swift broke her own record after winning three trophies from the four nominated categories she won: Artist of the Year, Favorite Music Video, and Favorite Female Artist – Pop / Rock.
With this victory, Swift became the musician with the most AMA trophies in history, 32 trophies.
Cardi B also set a record after winning the Favorite Song category trophy – Rap / Hip-Hop. Thanks to her collaboration song with Megan Thee Stallion, WAP. She also became the only musician who won this category twice in AMA’s history.
Meanwhile, BTS has also maintained its title as Favorite Social Artist for three years and Favorite Duo / Group – Pop / Rock for two consecutive years.
