The government reported an additional 11,749 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Friday (5/2/2021). The total number of confirmed patients is currently 1,134,854 cases of COVID-19.
DKI Jakarta is the province with the highest increase of COVID-19 cases, namely 3,340, followed by West Java with 2,117 cases, and Central Java with 1,884 cases.
As many as 76,373 specimens were recorded today throughout Indonesia, while the number of suspects was 77,704. From Worldometer, the total number of Covid-19 cases in the world as of Friday 5 February 2021 at 08.46 WIB reached 105,398,991 people.
This figure was obtained after experiencing the addition of 504,908 new patients in the last 24 hours. 77,223,686 of these patients have been declared cured and leaving 25,882,649 active cases, aka corona patients in hospital care or independent isolation.
The top five for daily case additions are occupied by the US (+121,627), Brazil (+57,848), Spain (+29,960), France (+23,448), and the UK (+20,634).
Furthermore, the sixth to tenth ranks are occupied by Russia (+16,714), Italy (+13,659), Germany (+12,989), India (+12,410), and Mexico (+12,153). Now, Indonesia (+11,434) is ranked 11th after being overtaken by Mexico.
Apart from Indonesia, there are three Asian countries that are in the top 20, namely Turkey (+7,909) at 16th, Iran (+7,040) at 17th, and Israel (+6,744) at 18th.
