A number of hotel partners in Indonesia have stated their readiness to provide isolation hotel rooms for covid patients. Here is the list of hotels so far.

Following President Jokowi’s direction in a limited meeting yesterday (16/9), today Wishnutama and the Chair of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Doni Monardo, conveyed the readiness of hotels that will participate in additional accommodation programs for health workers and COVID-19 patients.

“This accommodation is expected to start early next week and in this program the Ministry of Tourism will coordinate with PHRI (Association of Indonesian Hotels and Restaurants) to provide a list of hotel recommendations which are then selected from the Ministry of Health regarding health protocol readiness,” Wishnutama said in a press conference on Hotel Support. So far, Wishnutama has secured the names of a number of hotels that are ready to get involved. Of course, each hotel has been equipped with standard health protocols according to Ministry of Health standards.

Meanwhile hotels that are ready for health protocols are Yellow Hotel, Ibis Hotel, POP, Mercure Hotel and Novotel in the Greater Jakarta area, then Ibis Kuta Bali and Novotel Banjarbaru in South Kalimantan

Wishnutama explained, this additional accommodation program will be focused on 5 areas first in Jakarta, Bali and will be continued to other areas such as North Sumatra, West Java and South Kalimantan.

Furthermore, Wishnutama is also open to all hotel actors who want to be involved by providing their rooms for COVID-19 isolation rooms.

“Kemenparekraf will also open opportunities for other hotels to join the government to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Most importantly, these hotels must once again implement health protocols in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s provisions,” Wishnutama concluded.
