A hope to revive the tourism sector in Bali continues to appear. Balinese people and tourism workers enthusiastically did vaccinations, to support efforts and open up local tourism.
Balinese people’s enthusiasm received a response from the Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, I Putu Astawa. Quoted from radarbali.id, Astawa also expects the same thing. The Balinese government is also willing to conduct trials in opening tourist visits for foreigners. However, its implementation isn’t on a large scale.
“We have done everything and have to try it out. Domestic tourists already (trial). Our hope and the aspirations of the community, can open a trial for foreigners,”
said I Putu Astawa, Sunday (5/9) to radarbali.id.
“But don’t do it on a large scale,” he continued.
The trial plan for opening foreign visits is also based on various efforts and preparations. The preparations include a vaccination program for tourism workers and the implementation of CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, Environment), as well as the application of health protocols.
In addition, the local government also carried out simulations at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, established a Covid-19 Green Zone, and prepared Standard Operating Procedures for handling international tourists.
“It’s the same with the arrival of domestic tourists. Moreover, the condition is that when they (foreigners) arrive, they have brought a Covid-19-free letter and have been checked,” said Astawa.
The current focus of the Balinese government is to prevent the virus possibility being carried by tourists. Including if foreigners return to their country, it is hoped that they will not carry the virus, after their visit to Bali.
“Because there is an arrangement and already has the CHSE certification. If herd immunity has been reached in Bali, all new places can be visited,”
said Astawa.
