This circuit has also held the World Superbike (WSBK) race from Friday (11/19/2021) to Sunday (11/21/2021).

Mandalika Circuit Uses Modern Asphalt Materials
The Mandalika Circuit track was built with the most modern asphalting technology called Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA). SMA is an asphalt mixture used to coat the top surface of the asphalt.
The goal is to strengthen the surface layer structure with the principle of stone by stone contact so that the volume of asphalt used is also small. SMA has a high penetration power which makes it easier for racers to fall during a ‘wet race’ (slippery roads due to rain).
Circuit Official Name
The Mandalika Circuit has the official name, Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit.
The naming was carried out through the Signing of the Sponsorship Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and the Launching of the Official Name of the Mandalika International Racing Circuit in Jakarta, Thursday (7/11/2021).
