PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) opened a Covid-19 inspection service using GeNose C19 at Gambir Station as of Monday, February 15, 2021. The GeNose C19 service was open from 07.00 WIB to 19.30 WIB. Based on temporary data, 250 potential passengers use the GeNose C19 service. This amount is calculated until 13.00 WIB.
Besides Gambir, other train stations will have GeNose 19, such as Solo Balapan, Bandung, Cirebon, Semarang Tawang, and Surabaya Pasar Turi. Especially for departures during long holidays or religious holidays, the sample is taken within a maximum period of 1×24 hours before departure time.
For 30 minutes before carrying out the examination, prospective passengers are prohibited from smoking, eating and drinking (except water) to increase the accuracy of the results of the GeNose C19 examination. At the time of execution, prospective passengers are asked to blow the bag full and follow directions from the officer or the instructions at the inspection location.
There are various requirements that passengers must do before conducting a test using the GeNose C19.
First, of course, prospective passengers must have a ticket or long distance train booking code that has been paid in full. The government will start implementing the phase II vaccination program for Public Service Officers on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
In this second phase, the Government will provide vaccinations for 16.9 million public service officers, and 21.5 million elderly groups (elderly) aged over 60 years. The initial vaccination for Phase II will be given to traders at Tanah Abang Market in DKI Jakarta.
