The Indonesia Open 2022 badminton tournament officially starts today, Tuesday (14/6) at the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Palace (Istora), Senayan, Jakarta. The tournament received great enthusiasm from the public who had longed to watch live badminton matches. The queue of spectators was seen snaking in the ticket box.
The Indonesia Open 2022 which is a BWF Super 1000 tournament will take place from June 14, 2022, to June 19, 2022. At least 9 Indonesian contingents will appear today, with details of 3 mixed doubles, 4 men’s doubles, and 2 men’s singles.
Based on observations at the location, the audience has been queuing at the ticket box to the west of Istora Senayan since 08.00 WIB. The queue was observed to be very crowded, extending several meters.
On average, the audience who attended was dominated by young women. However, some spectators came with their families.
The audience is required to go to the ticket box first to gain access to the Istora Senayan. The electronic tickets that they previously got were exchanged for access bracelets so they could enter and exit the arena.
One of the spectators named Rahma also admitted that he was very enthusiastic to watch this Super 1000 tournament. What’s more, this is his first experience watching live at Istora Senayan.
“Yes, I watched it live because the players were good. The atmosphere of the audience in the arena made me curious to watch it live,” said Rahma, who lives in Pamulang, South Tangerang.
Actually, the committee also provides tickets online, but the tickets have been sold out. Therefore, if there are spectators who want to watch this match, the only way left is to buy through a ticket box on the spot.
