The government reported the addition of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday (16/1/2021). There have been an additional 14,224 cases, so that the total number of confirmed patients has now reached 896,642 cases since the Corona virus broke out in Indonesia. DKI Jakarta became the province with the highest number of additional cases with 3,536 cases, followed by West Java with 3,460 cases and Central Java with 1,997 new cases as of January 16.
Today, 63,300 specimens were recorded throughout Indonesia, while the number of suspects was 69,414. The new cure rate increased to 8,662 cases of cure. Cumulatively, there are 727,358 cases of recovery in Indonesia. The new death toll is 283 people died. Cumulatively, 25,727 people have died from COVID-19.
