PUPR Signs Contract for 5 New Capital Projects Next Week

The construction of the new capital city in East Kalimantan will be accelerated soon. The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will sign 5 packages of infrastructure projects that have been tendered. The contract value reached Rp 7 trillion.

It is planned that the signing of the contract for these 5 projects will be carried out next week.

Reporting from the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE) of the PUPR Ministry, Wednesday (24/8/2022), projects that have been and will be completed next week include the IKN Segment Karangjoang Toll Road – KKT Kariangau Toll Road package, IKN Toll Road Segment KKT Kariangau – SP Tempadung, and IKN Toll Road Segment SP Tempadung-Jembatang Balang Island.

The IKN toll road construction package for the Kariangau-SP Tempadung KKT segment has a package ceiling value of IDR 2.02 trillion with an HPS package value of IDR 2.02 trillion.

The tender has been made on June 13, 2022, and has been attended by 194 participants. Referring to the existing schedule, the tender will reach the signing of the contract on 29 August.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of PUPR has also started a tender for the IKN Toll Road Segment Sp Tempadung-Jembatang Balang Island on June 9, 2022. The toll road which will be the main access to IKN has a package ceiling value of IDR 2.24 trillion with a package HPS value of IDR 2.24 trillion.

The tender for the project has been attended by 217 participants and the contract will be signed on August 29.

For the IKN Segment Karangjoang-KKT Kariangau Toll Road, the government has opened a tender since July 13, 2022, and has been attended by 132 participants. Projects worth Rp3.47 trillion are also scheduled for contract signing at the end of this month to be exact on August 31.

Not only toll roads, but the government will also build a national road which will be the access to logistics needed during the construction of IKN. The Ministry of PUPR has opened a tender for the construction of the IKN work road/logistics (KIPP) with the Segment 4 Sepaku Ring Road construction package on June 8, 2022.

The project is recorded to have a package ceiling value of IDR 193.47 billion with a package HPS value of IDR 193.47 billion. The project, which has been attended by 167 participants, was supposed to have signed a contract on August 16 but was postponed until next week.

Meanwhile, 1 more contract to be signed is the IKN land mapping tender. However, it is not yet known how much the contract value for the land mapping will be.

As previously reported, the PUPR Ministry will sign contracts for 5 infrastructure development projects at IKN Nusantara next week. PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the activity had been reported to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

He said the budget for signing the contract is said to be ready and has been included in the budget implementation list (DIPA).

Basuki explained that there will be 5 tenders signed, namely land mapping contracts, 2 toll road construction contracts, 1 national road, and 1 water resource infrastructure (SDA).

“Still, we will sign the contract next week and start working immediately,” Basuki said in Jakarta, Tuesday (23/8/2022).
