The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta has again extended the transitional large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). During this transitional PSBB extension period, the odd-even system for four-wheeled vehicles has not yet been implemented. The PSBB for the transitional period in DKI Jakarta was extended for 14 days.
“Even-odd policy still does not apply,” said Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo when contacted, Sunday (25/10/2020).
Based on the press release of the Jakarta PPID, Sunday (25/10/2020), the extension is from October 26 to November 8, 2020. This extension is carried out as a precaution against a spike in Covid-19 cases.
This decision is in accordance with the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province Number 1020 of 2020. In this decision, if there is no significant increase in Corona cases during the extension of the PSBB for this transitional period, an extension for 14 days will be carried out.
However, if there is a significant increase in the Corona cases, the enforcement of this transitional period PSBB can be stopped.
“In this case, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can re-implement the Emergency Brake policy. It means that if there is an alarming level of Corona virus transmission, the government can stop all activities that have been opened during the PSBB transition period and re-implement tightening policy, ” the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan said, Sunday (25/10).
