WHO Determines Covid-19 in Jakarta Enters Level 3

In a report on the Covid-19 situation in Indonesia on July 13 yesterday, the World Health Organization (WHO) determined the Covid-19 spread in DKI Jakarta enters level 3. What is the reason?

“At the provincial level, during July 4-10, DKI Jakarta recorded the highest incidence rate with 73.8 per 100 thousand population (classified as a moderate level of community transmission or CT3),” the report dated July 13 said.

A total of 33 other provinces are categorized as low level of community transmission or CT1 with a weekly incidence rate of less than 20 per 100 thousand inhabitants.

“In general, the risk of COVID-19 infection in the general population remains high,” the report said.

Previously, the number of active cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia as of July 17, 2022, reached 27,550 cases. There were 3,540 new cases added compared to the previous day.

Then, the recovery rate was 2,574 and the number who died was 10 people.

In addition, the achievement of national vaccination continues to grow. Indonesian citizens who have been vaccinated against phase 1 have increased by 37,530, phase 2 vaccines have increased by 51,165, and booster vaccines have increased by 309,568.
