Jakarta is undergoing heavy rain this afternoon (18/1/2022). The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that 10 RTs in Jakarta face inundation or flooding.
Head of Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin) DKI Jakarta BPBD Muhammad Insaf, also explained that there is one road section that is flooded.
According to the data collected, 10 RTs and one road section are located in the West Jakarta area. The submerged road section is in the Cengkareng area. The stagnant water reaches a height of 40 to 60 centimeters.
Not only heavy rain but also strong winds. Motorcyclists are expected to be careful with this strong wind.

The cause of the inundation of this area and road is still unknown for certain. Whether there are clogged drains, or indeed the high intensity of rainwater.
Until now, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has not issued an official statement regarding the damage caused by the heavy rains that flushed Jakarta.
