In anticipation of the arrival of Coldplay in Indonesia, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has urged the public to meet vaccination requirements before attending the band’s concert.

The concert is expected to draw a large crowd and thus the ministry is advising individuals to complete their Covid-19 vaccination, including the booster shot, before attending the event.

Kemenkes spokesperson, Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, emphasized the importance of booster shots and encouraged fans to prioritize their health. She stated, “Currently, the second Covid-19 booster vaccine is still free. For those who want to watch Coldplay, get your booster shot first. It’s still a long way until November, so get vaccinated first.”

Despite the loosening of health protocols, including the use of masks in outdoor spaces, prospective Coldplay concert-goers are still required to have completed their Covid-19 vaccination, including the second dose.

Dr. Nadia emphasized this point, stating, “You can already watch Coldplay, and maybe you can remove your mask, but get your booster shot first. For those whose [Covid-19 vaccination status] is already complete, it has been more than six months. So, get your booster shot.”

Regarding the use of masks, Dr. Nadia advised concert-goers to use masks according to their individual health risks.

She also stated that those with coughs and colds should wear masks, saying, “Attendees with coughs and colds during the concert should wear masks because if they are removed, there is still a health emergency, and we must remain vigilant.”

It is worth noting that the high enthusiasm from the public has caused tickets for the “Ultimate Experience” category, priced at IDR 11 million, to sell out in just 10 minutes. The Ultimate Experience ticket is the most expensive category and includes backstage tour facilities.

For information, tickets for Coldplay’s “Music of The Spheres World Tour 2023” in Jakarta will be sold in two categories, namely presale exclusively for BCA customers on May 17 and 18, 2023, and public sales on May 19, 2023.

Fans of the British band have been eagerly anticipating the sale of tickets, and as of today, May 17, 2023, the sale of Coldplay’s “Music of The Spheres World Tour 2023” in Jakarta has officially begun. Fans have already been engaged in a virtual battle to secure their tickets since 10:00 AM WIB.
