World-renowned Hilton hotel network (NYSE: HLT) recently announced the opening of Umana Bali, LXR Hotels & Resorts, marking its first luxury resort presence in the Southeast Asia region.

Umana Bali joins the exclusive collection of LXR Hotels & Resorts, celebrating personal adventures in the world’s most captivating destinations, offering a fresh taste of luxury crafted based on personality and the deep local experience’s uniqueness.

The first resort in Southeast Asia boasts stunning direct views of the Indian Ocean. With 72 luxuriously designed villas, the resort is built on approximately 10 hectares of tiered cliffs of limestone, reminiscent of uma, or ancient rice terraces, which inspired its name.

Standing at an elevation of 70 meters above sea level on the majestic Uluwatu limestone cliffs in southern Bali, Umana Bali is just a 45-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport.

One of Bali’s most sacred and revered sites, the 11th-century Pura Uluwatu, can be easily reached from this resort, not far from the Uluwatu Temple.

Johannes Suriadjaja, President Director of PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk, expressed delight in collaborating with Hilton to introduce the first LXR property in Southeast Asia in Bali.

“The destination is loved by domestic and international tourists and is essential for tourism in Indonesia and the broader region. With its highly strategic location and exclusive position, Umana Bali seeks to provide a new experience with luxurious travel on the Island of the Gods,” said Johannes in his statement on Monday, November 27, 2023.

LXR is known for timeless luxury and unique experiences, drawing inspiration from Bali’s Tri Hita Karana philosophy and its three main pillars: Nature, Humanity, and Spirituality, to create a meaningful and modern vision for Umana Bali.

An authentic connection with the lesser-known nature, vibrant craftsmanship, and refreshing holistic well-being rituals bring the Island of the Gods to life for guests. Each unique experience is inspired by traditional Balinese culture, then tailored to delight today’s modern explorers in pursuit of personal experiences.

In celebration of the opening of Umana Bali, Hilton Honors members will receive a bonus of 10,000 points for a minimum three-night booking from December 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024.
