The soft launching of the LRT Jabodebek, the light rail transit system in the Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Bekasi area, is scheduled to take place on July 12, 2023. In anticipation of this event, the public is now invited to register themselves for the trial run, which will commence on Monday, July 10, 2023.
Kuswardoyo, the Manager of Public Relations for Jabodebek LRT, emphasized that this introductory period will be in effect from July 12 to August 15, 2023. During this period, passengers will be able to enjoy the convenience of riding the LRT at a minimal fare of only Rp1.
To ensure a smooth and controlled soft launch, the Jabodetabek LRT service will operate four times a day, with a limited number of passengers. A maximum quota of 150 passengers per trip has been allocated to provide a comfortable and manageable experience for all participants.
To participate in the soft launch, interested individuals are encouraged to register through a dedicated link that will be made available on the official social media account of LRT Jabodebek, @lrt_jabodebek, starting from July 10, 2023.
During the registration process, prospective passengers will be required to provide their personal information and select their preferred initial departure station. This will enable the LRT authorities to plan and allocate the appropriate resources to accommodate the registered passengers efficiently.
Upon successful registration, participants will receive a confirmation message via SMS or WhatsApp, containing essential details and instructions. This confirmation message will serve as proof of registration and must be presented at the chosen departure station to gain access to the Jabodebek LRT service.
Passengers will have the freedom to disembark at any of the stations along the Jabodebek LRT route, except for Halim Station, as it is still undergoing preparations to serve as an integration point for both Jabodebek LRT and the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train (KCJB).
