The Directorate General of Immigration ensures that onshore visa services for foreign nationals (WNA) living in Indonesia will continue to run, even though the office which is located at Jalan HR Rasuna Said Kav X6 Number 8 Kuningan, South Jakarta is closed for 10 days to be sterilized.

Head of Public Relations of the Directorate General of Immigration, Arvin Gumilang, in a written statement, Saturday (15/8/2020), said that the closure of the Immigration Headquarters began 12-21 August 2020.

The Immigration Headquarters was temporarily closed for sterilization after five immigration officers were exposed to Covid-19.

Arvin said that all Kemenkumham employees who have offices in the ex-Sentra Mulia Building are ordered to work from home (work from home). There is practically no activity at the Head Office of the Directorate General of Immigration.

“Onshore visa services are served online through the website www.bizindo.com. Visa application file examiners continue to work to verify all the submitted files.”

The Directorate General of Immigration, he said, appealed to foreigners and also their guarantor who had applied for a visa not to worry or panic.

This is because, he said, even though the head office is closed, the onshore visa service is still running. “Periodically, the Head Office of the Directorate General of Immigration is sprayed and cleaned with disinfectant. Everyone is also prohibited from entering to break the chain of spreading Covid-19,” said Arvin. (Antara)
