Several toll roads will undergo tariff adjustments in early 2022. Socialization regarding the amount of tariff change will be delivered 2 weeks before the time of tariff determination.
Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, Danang Parikesit, said that the socialization of tariff adjustments was carried out by each toll road business entity (BUJT) as the manager of the toll segment.
Regarding which toll roads, the tariffs will be adjusted in the first quarter of 2022, they are:
- Inner City Toll
- Nusa Dua – Ngurah Rai – Benoa
- Pigtails – Serpong
- Jakarta – Bogor – Ciawi
- Surabaya – Mojokerto
- Cikampek – Palimanan
- Cinere – Jagorawi Sexy 1&2
- Pondok Aren – Serpong
- Gempol – Pandaan ( IC Gempol – IC Pandaan – Pandaan)
- Tangerang – Merak Toll Road
- Soreang Toll Road – Pasir Koja
- Pandaan – Malang Toll Road
Furthermore, last January, a tariff adjustment was made for the Inner City Toll Road which has been in effect since 31 January 2022. The increase in the inner city toll rate has been set at Rp500 per vehicle.
The tariff adjustment for the 12 toll roads is carried out based on the mandate of Law Number 38/2004 concerning Roads, and Government Regulation Number 15/2005 concerning Toll Roads, as amended by Government Regulation Number 43/2013 concerning evaluation and adjustment of toll rates which are carried out every 2 years.
It is known, toll rates are dynamic, always changing. Then, what is the cause? The calculation of the toll tariff itself is adjusted to the effect of inflation, according to the formula. Tariff adjustments are also made as a form of certainty of investment returns.
In addition, toll road tariff adjustments are made to maintain investor confidence and build a conducive toll road investment climate.
