Entrances for Overseas Travelers Become 10 Airports

The government has officially added entry points for foreign travelers. Now, the entrance to Indonesia for PPLN has increased to 10 international airports.

The addition of entrances is made to three airports, namely Kualanamu Airport, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, and Yogyakarta Airport.

The Director-General of Civil Aviation, Novie Riyanto in a written statement, Wednesday (06/04/2022), explained, “This policy emerged following the issuance of the Circular Letter of the Minister of Transportation Number 42 of 2022, which took effect from April 6, 2022.”

The 10 international airports that are the entry points for PPLN arrivals in Indonesia include:

  1. Soekarno Hatta Airport, Banten
  2. Juanda Airport, East Java
  3. Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali
  4. Hang Nadim Airport, Riau Islands
  5. Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport, Riau Islands
  6. Sam Ratulangi Airport, North Sulawesi
  7. Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Airport, West Nusa Tenggara
  8. Kualanamu Airport, North Sumatra
  9. Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, South Sulawesi
  10. Yogyakarta Airport, Special Region of Yogyakarta

Furthermore, Novie reminded PPLn who want to enter Indonesia to prepare requirements such as showing a second dose of vaccine card at least 14 days before departure and the results of the RT-PCR test taken two days before departure.

“In addition to increasing entrances, the latest Circular also stipulates that PPLN who come must have a body temperature below 37.5 degrees Celsius and meet other requirements,” explained Novie.

PPLNs who do not have symptoms related to Covid-19 with a body temperature below 37.5 degrees Celsius will be allowed to continue their journey without a PCR test upon arrival, as has also been conveyed through the SE Covid-19 Task Force Number 17 of 2022 concerning Overseas Travel Pros the time of the Covid-19 pandemic.

For information, the following requirements must be met by PPLN upon arrival:

The negative result of PCR test from the origin country, maximum 2×24 hours before departure

Mandatory to undergo a PCR test upon arrival, for PPLN who detected symptoms of Covid-19 with a body temperature above 37.5 degrees Celsius
