Government Adds 10 National Strategic Projects

The government adds as many as 10 National Strategic Projects (PSN) spread across several regions of Indonesia. Not only that, there will be 4 more projects whose nomenclature will be adjusted in the list of National Strategic Projects.

The addition of the new PSN is stipulated in the Regulation of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy No. 21/2022 concerning Amendments to the Regulation of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy No. 9/2022 concerning Changes to the PSN List.

“Based on Permenko No. 21/2022, the government has a target of 210 projects and 12 programs with an estimated investment value of IDR 5,700 trillion,” said the Deputy for Coordination of Regional Development and Spatial Planning of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs as Head of the Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP) Implementation Team Wahyu Utomo, moments ago.

The 10 new PSNs added to the PSN list are the construction of the Muaro Jambi Container Terminal Port in Jambi, the Tanjung Sauh Industrial Area in the Riau Archipelago), the Indonesian Pomalaa Industry Park Industrial Area in Southeast Sulawesi, the Motui Industrial Area in Southeast Sulawesi, the Kendari Industrial Area. in Southeast Sulawesi, and the Ladi Island Industrial Area in the Riau Archipelago.

Furthermore, namely the Fakfak Fertilizer Industrial Area in West Papua, Karangnongko Dam in Central and East Java, Ubadari Field Development, CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) and Compression (UCC Project) in Bintuni Bay, West Papua, and Biofuel Development from Methanol and Ethanol in Bojonegoro Regency in East Java.

He detailed, most PSNs were recorded in Java, namely as many as 83 projects and 1 program, with an estimated investment value of IDR 2,027.2 trillion.

The second most PSN development, namely in Java, reached 45 projects with an estimated investment value of IDR 834.2 trillion. Furthermore, the total PSN in Kalimantan and Sulawesi reached 13 projects and 25 projects respectively, with an estimated investment value of IDR 238.1 trillion and IDR 352.5 trillion.

Meanwhile, PSN in Bali and Nusa Tenggara, as well as in Maluku and Papua, there are 18 projects and 15 projects respectively with an estimated investment value of IDR 45.5 trillion and IDR 596.7 trillion.

Furthermore, PSN has a national status of 11 projects and 11 programs, with an estimated investment value of IDR 1,652.4 trillion. Wahyu said, according to the President’s directives, programs/projects that could be included in the PSN list were programs/projects that could be completed no later than a semester I/2024.
