IDR 28 Trillion for Home Subsidy Is Prepared by the Ministry of PUPR

Owning a house is a mandatory thing because it is a primary human need. Then, what if the funds prepared are not sufficient? Don’t worry, the government is preparing Rp 28.2 trillion for housing finance assistance for the community in 2022. The largest fund will be directed to the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP).

This year FLPP will be given to 200 thousand housing units. Specifically for FLPP, the budget is Rp. 23 trillion. This was confirmed directly by the Director-General of Infrastructure Financing of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Herry Trisaputra Zuna.

“In 2022, we are targeting FLPP to have 200 thousand units,” said Herry in a working meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Wednesday (16/2/2022).

Furthermore, the government’s FLPP has also prepared a house down payment subsidy facility (SBUM). There will be 200 thousand units in 2022 and a budget of Rp 810 billion.

From the Rp 28.2 trillion funds, the government has also prepared a budget for the interest difference subsidy program (SSB). The number will reach 769,903 units in 2022 with a budget of Rp 4.39 trillion.

In addition, the government has targeted BP Tapera to start disbursing housing loans in 2022. The target given by the Ministry of PUPR to BP Tapera is 109 thousand housing units.

On the other hand, the government also targets that there will be the provision of savings-based housing finance assistance (BP2BT) of 22,586 units.

Home Ownership Loan Program

In addition, there is another program from the government for people who want to own a house but have a mediocre income. This is done through subsidized housing loans or mortgages, which are a government program to facilitate lower-middle-income people to have housing

“Subsidized KPR is a mortgage/homeownership financing that gets assistance and/or ease of acquiring a house for the government in the form of long-term low-cost funds and subsidies for housing acquisition issued by the Implementing Bank both conventionally and with sharia principles,” the PUPR Ministry wrote, quoted from the page. officially, Monday (14/2/2022).

As the name implies, subsidized mortgages are specifically for people whose income is below the average. Based on PUPR Decree Number 552/KPTS/M/2016 concerning Income Limits for Subsidized Mortgage Target Groups, this program can only be participated by people who earn a maximum of Rp 4 million a month (for landed houses), or Rp 7 million per month (for flats).

In addition to offering a low-interest rate of 5% fixed, subsidized mortgages also have other features such as long tenors (up to 20 years), affordable installments, free insurance premiums, VAT, and low down payments starting from 1%.
