The progress of the high-speed rail connecting Jakarta and Bandung is said to have reached 80 percent. The plan is that the trial operation of the high-speed train coincides with the G20 event in November 2022. This high-speed train is targeted to fully operate in June 2023.

This news was confirmed by the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil. He said the progress of the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train (KCJB) project had reached 80 percent.

“Everything is following progress. So it is not true that there is no movement because as of today it is following the target of 80%. The operation is following what has been agreed, namely in June 2023,” he said in an official statement, Thursday (7/4/2022). ).

According to him, along with improving economic growth, many property business players are interested in building a business at the transit-oriented development (TOD) point.

Furthermore, he conveyed that the transit point that investors are interested in is Halim Station, Jakarta.

“TOD is the most progressive in the Halim Perdanakusuma area. In Halim, there are already developers who will build hospitals, malls, and others. Then TOD in Karawang has hotels and offices,” he said.

Furthermore, at the Walini point, West Bandung Regency, a station will be built in cooperation with a third party. Meanwhile, at Tegalluar Bandung Station, the final station of KCJB, a pedestrian bridge will be built for vehicles.

“There is an option for a third party to donate the station, so PTPN VIII can develop Kota Baru Walini,” he said.

Ridwan Kamil explained that the presence of this high-speed train is not only a modern means of transportation but also a catalyst for economic growth in every area it passes through.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia China Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi said all obstacles regarding the construction of the tunnel had been resolved. Of the total 13 tunnels, currently, 12 have been built.

He also ensured that the completion of the tunnel construction would help the development progress of other fields.

“We have crossed Kilometer 145 towards Tegalluar and Cileunyi. So, the obstacles in the tunnel have been completed, from 13 there is only one tunnel. Currently (the project) has crossed kilometer 145 towards Tegalluar and Cileunyi,” he said.
