The Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) officially issued a permit for emergency use (EUA) for the Covid-19 Sinovac vaccine produced at PT Bio Farma.
Previously, Indonesia received a shipment of Covid-19 vaccine raw materials from Sinovac which was sent in two stages.
In the first phase, Indonesia received 15 million doses of the Covid-19 Sinovac vaccine raw material on January 12, 2021, and another 11 million doses on February 2, 2021.
Then today, the BPOM officially issued a permit for the emergency use of the vaccine that has been produced by Bio Farma. The Covid-19 vaccine produced at PT Bio Farma is packaged in a 5 ml vial dosage form. To prevent counterfeiting, the Covid-19 vaccine produced by PT Bio Farma is given a barcode. giving the Covid-19 vaccine to the elderly requires special attention, because considering that this group is a group that is vulnerable to having comorbid or comorbid conditions. This includes chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.
