The odd-even rules on the DKI Jakarta capital city streets will be adjusted again. Recently, Regional Police Metro Jaya confirmed that they would expand the implementation of the odd-even system from the previous 13 points to 26 points. This policy will take effect from June 6, 2022.

Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, said that the police and the Department of Transportation will conduct odd-even socialization with the public.

“Trials in the sense that when there are violations in 13 new areas, we do not immediately give action with a ticket, but we carry out a warning,” said Sambodo in his statement, Monday (30/5/2022).

Sambodo ensured that prosecution on the 13 old roads would be carried out as usual, namely through the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) camera system. Meanwhile, the other 13 sections were carried out manually.

For information, the implementation of odd-even on 26 roads will take effect in the period Monday – Friday at 06.00 – 10.00 WIB and 16.00 – 21.00 WIB.

Violators of the odd-even system will be subject to a fine which refers to Article 287 of Law 12/2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation in the form of a maximum fine of Rp. 500 thousand.
