Nature lovers, gardening enthusiasts, and families looking for an enjoyable day out will soon have another reason to visit Jakarta. FLONA Jakarta 2026 is set to return with a wider range of attractions, bringing together stunning plant collections, educational wildlife exhibits, environmental activities, local culinary experiences, and family entertainment in one event.
The Jakarta Flora and Fauna Exhibition (FLONA) 2026 will be held at Lapangan Banteng in Central Jakarta from Friday, August 28, 2026, through September 2026. As one of the city’s annual highlights, the exhibition continues to celebrate biodiversity while encouraging greater public awareness of environmental conservation.
This year’s edition offers more than a traditional plant exhibition. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take part in environmental education programs, urban farming workshops, and activities designed to promote greener lifestyles. Culinary vendors from Indonesia’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) will also participate, alongside various entertainment programs created for visitors of all ages.
“FLONA Jakarta 2026 offers an educational and recreational experience through plant exhibitions, educational animal displays, urban farming workshops, and green community festivals,” according to the event’s official website.
Organizers expect the exhibition to feature more than 200 exhibitors and community organizations. They are also targeting attendance of more than 50,000 visitors throughout the event.
One of the biggest attractions will be the extensive plant exhibition. Visitors can explore collections ranging from bonsai and ornamental plants to shade trees and rare plant species. Whether you’re an experienced collector or simply enjoy gardening, the exhibition offers plenty to discover.

Beyond its flora and fauna showcases, FLONA Jakarta 2026 will highlight Indonesia’s rich culinary heritage through a Nusantara food festival featuring environmentally friendly MSME products. The event will also include cultural performances, live music, and creative competitions designed for families, adding even more variety to the visitor experience.
The organizers have also prepared a packed lineup of supporting activities. The program includes a floral parade, workshops, plant exhibitions, a culinary festival, landscape competitions, as well as a closing ceremony and awards presentation. However, the detailed schedule for each activity has not yet been released.
With its combination of nature, education, sustainability, local businesses, and entertainment, FLONA Jakarta 2026 is expected to once again become one of Jakarta’s most anticipated public events, offering visitors an engaging way to learn about Indonesia’s biodiversity while enjoying a wide range of activities in the heart of the capital.
