The Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2023 automotive exhibition has opened today, Friday (10/3), and will run until March 19, 2023, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta. The event features a lifestyle exhibition concept that includes automobiles, fashion, music, and culinary delights to attract visitors.

Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2023 Chairman, Yohannes Nangoi said, “For the first time in Indonesia, an automotive exhibition is combined with lifestyle.”

The exhibition is a showcase of the strength of the automotive industry, which has been recovering since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gaikindo recorded sales of 1,048,040 vehicles in 2022, and it wants to use the GJAW 2023 event to harness the momentum of the automotive industry’s development.

The event features 60 brands showcasing their production vehicles, including BMW M, Chery, Citroen, Daihatsu, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, and Wuling.

The “Automotive x Lifestyle” exhibition aims to achieve transactions worth IDR 2.3 trillion and attract 53,000 visitors. “This year’s GJAW presents 26 innovations, including passenger, premium, commercial, and new vehicle launches,” Yohannes said.

He expressed his gratitude to the government, especially the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Industry, for supporting the exhibition.

He hopes that the GJAW will boost the innovation of domestic automotive products to increase competitiveness.

“We encourage members to develop new Indonesian vehicle models and launch them,” Yohanes Nangoi said.

Meanwhile, to enter the exhibition, tickets are quite affordable, starting at IDR 40,000.

GJAW 2023 tickets can only be purchased through blibli.com and are divided into two categories: advanced or online purchases and regular.
