New Zealand has reported the first death case due to coronavirus vaccine types Pfizer.

“This is the first case in New Zealand where a death in the days following vaccination was associated with the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine,”

SAID THE INDEPENDENT COVID-19 VACCINE SAFETY MONITORING COUNCIL.

It was reported that the recipient of the vaccine was a woman who developed myocarditis shortly after receiving that vaccine injection.

The board also noted that other medical problems were occurring at the same time, which could have influenced the post-vaccination effects.

Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle that can limit the organ’s performance to pump blood and can cause changes in the rhythm of the heartbeat.

Quoted from ANTARA, so far the Pfizer/BioNTech, Janssen, and AstraZeneca vaccines have received temporary permits from the New Zealand authorities. However, Pfizer is the only vaccine allowed for public use.

“The benefits of vaccination with Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine still far outweigh the risks of Covid-19 infection and vaccine side effects, including myocarditis,”

SAID THE INDEPENDENT COVID-19 VACCINE SAFETY MONITORING COUNCIL.

As additional information, the Emergency Use of Authorization (EUA) issued on July 14, 2021, the Indonesian Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) stated that the Pfizer vaccine can be tolerated in all age groups.

It is stated that the vaccine has mild side effects so it is relatively safe to use for pregnant and lactating women. As for the side effects commonly caused by the Pfizer vaccine, such as pain in the injection site, headache, muscle aches, chills, joint pain, fever, and fatigue.
