Long Holiday Backflow, 160 Thousand Vehicles Heading to Jakarta

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) recorded 160,204 vehicles heading to Jakarta on the first day of return flow, Saturday (31/10) on long holiday. The total volume of traffic heading to Jakarta this time increased 36.8 percent when compared to new normal traffic before.

The peak of backflow is expected to occur on Sunday (1/11) night, along with the schedule for office entry on Monday (2/11).

The distribution of traffic to Jakarta itself is divided from three directions, 53.2 percent from the east, 25.4 percent from the west, and 21.4 percent from the south.

This calculation is obtained through the cumulative calculation of traffic flow from several Main Toll Gates (GT): GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (East direction), GT Cikupa (West direction), and GT Ciawi (South direction).

The details of traffic distribution are as follows:

From the East at the Main GT Main Cikampek 2, 43,393 vehicles headed to Jakarta, an increase of 57.3 percent from the new normal traffic.

From the East on the Main GT Kalihurip 2, 41,794 vehicles headed to Jakarta, an increase of 56.9 percent from the new normal traffic.

The total number of vehicles heading to Jakarta from the East was 85,187 vehicles, an increase of 57.1 percent from the new normal traffic.

Meanwhile, traffic to Jakarta from the West via the Cikupa GT Tangerang-Merak Toll Road is 40,654 vehicles, an increase of 13.7 percent from the new normal traffic.

Furthermore, the number of vehicles heading to Jakarta from the South/ Local direction via GT Ciawi 2 Jagorawi Toll Road was 34,363 vehicles, an increase of 26.9 percent from the new normal traffic.
