The peak of Indonesia’s G20 Summit is drawing near. Welcoming the culmination of the event, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) prepared health service facilities for delegates at the G20 Summit (KTT) which will take place in Bali Province on November 15-16, 2022.

Director of Health Service Governance at the Ministry of Health, Sunarto, in a press conference on the readiness of health care facilities ahead of the online G20 Summit in Jakarta, Thursday, said health services will be provided around the event location for the 600 delegates scheduled to attend.

The activities of the delegates of the G20 Summit at that time will be held at the Apurva Kempinski Hotel for the meeting, Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) for the gala dinner, and Mangrove Tahura which will also carry out symbolic tree planting.

“There will be a mini ICU, clinic, and mobile team at the main location. Our mini ICU has specifications for a patient bed, an examination bed, a table, chairs, and a mobile ventilator in case of cardiac or pulmonary emergencies. In addition, there are bedside monitors, tubes, emergency kits, and so on,” said Sunarto.

Sunarto said that those who will be on standby in the mini ICU are heart specialists and anesthesiologists, supported by trained doctors and nurses.

The Ministry of Health also prepares clinics in 22 hotels that participate in the implementation of the G20 Summit with certain standards, as well as general practitioners and nurses who have been trained.

In addition, the mobile team or health care team who were on standby in ambulances for the delegates were also prepared for the seven G20 activity zones located in Nusa Dua, Kuta, Tuban, Jimbaran, Sanur, and Uluwatu. Later the mobile team will move if there is an emergency from the clinic, to bring the delegation to the referral hospital.

The Ministry of Health has also prepared seven international referral hospitals that are closest to the location of the activity at the Apurva Kempinski Hotel for the delegates, namely IGM Ngurah Hospital, Bali Mandara Hospital, Udayana University Hospital, Siloam Hospital, BIMC Nusa Dua Hospital, Bhayangkara Hospital, and Tk II Hospital. Udayana.

As for VVIP guests, health services are not much different from the delegates, namely mini ICU facilities, clinics, and mobile teams, as well as designated international hospitals. It’s just that the handling is prepared by the Ministry of State Secretariat separately.

For information, the 17th G20 Summit will be held in Bali on November 15-16, 2022.
