The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs, in Bahasa: UMKM) sector have a major role on the Indonesian economy sustainability. This was revealed by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir. Then, What kind of influence is meant?

According to him, if the dream of becoming an MSME is realized, it will create great power because this dream will meet other dreams that are interconnected.

“Like when the dream of becoming an entrepreneur, you will meet the dreams of other people who want to work together, or partner, or the dreams of young entrepreneurs who want to work. So that from one dream we can build strength together,” he said at the Smesco Jakarta building, Thursday (19/1).

Erick continued, the MSME sector could produce better and higher quality local products. This is following the ideals of independence that an independent Indonesia is sovereign.

“From within the country it is already compact and we as advanced entrepreneurs can cooperate and work on the Indonesian market to provide maximum benefits for the Indonesian people,” he said.

In honing skills and improving the welfare of entrepreneurs, said Erick, the Ministry of BUMN has also carried out a transformation by merging Islamic banks to establish programs that support and suit the needs of entrepreneurs.

“I hope that each participant can take advantage of this opportunity to absorb as much experience as possible in order to achieve targets that can benefit themselves and those around them,” he concluded.

Furthermore, these MSMEs have indeed become one of the pillars of Indonesia’s economic revival. The location of this business is also scattered in various places, one of which is in the toll road rest area.

There are 1,850 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises that fill rest areas or Service Rest Areas (TIP) throughout Indonesia’s toll roads.

Reporting from the official website of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT), Wednesday (18/1/2023), it is hoped that the availability of TIP on toll roads will not only be a place to stop or rest, but also be able to provide local products.

TIP is expected to be a trigger for the economy of the surrounding area supported by the participation of MSME actors in increasing the economy and the sectors that are most resilient to facing an economic recession.
