Pertamina, the state-owned oil and gas company, is making significant strides in expediting the implementation of precise transactions for subsidized fuel, aiming to ensure the targeted distribution and proper utilization of resources.

As part of this endeavor, Pertamina is introducing the full registrant scheme, which will be followed by the implementation of the full QR scheme in the near future. These initiatives are set to be initiated in various regions, including the vibrant provinces of West Java and DKI Jakarta.

The comprehensive trial of the full cycle subsidy program, focusing on precise transactions, has already commenced in selected areas. Pertamina Patra Niaga, the subsidiary responsible for fuel distribution, is actively encouraging the adoption of the full registran scheme in regions such as Banten and West Java, excluding Bogor, Depok, and Bogor Regency.

The successful deployment of this scheme since May 11, 2023, has paved the way for the forthcoming implementation of the subsidy transaction system in DKI Jakarta, scheduled for May 25, 2023.

While these initiatives demonstrate Pertamina’s commitment to an efficient and equitable distribution system, it is important to note that certain areas, particularly the enchanting Thousand Islands Regency, will experience the implementation of the restriction scheme at a later date, commencing on June 8, 2023.

Joevan Yudha Achmad, the Acting Manager of Communication, Relations, and Corporate Social Responsibility at Pertamina Patra Niaga for the Western Java region, highlighted the significance of the full QR scheme for buying subsidized fuel, which is slated to be implemented within two weeks of the full registran scheme in each respective region.

“Pertamina is dedicated to ensuring the targeted delivery of subsidized Solar BBM, with precise allocation and volumes. To achieve this, it is imperative that subsidized BBM users be registered to facilitate seamless transactions,” Joevan emphasized in a press release on Tuesday (May 16, 2023).

As the implementation of these measures progresses, Pertamina plans to expand the precise subsidy program across all of its gas stations in the Western Java region.

Notably, the full registran scheme has already been piloted in several regions, including Banten Province, encompassing Lebak, Pandeglang, Serang, and Tangerang regencies, as well as Cilegon, Serang, Tangerang, and South Tangerang cities.

Under the full registran scheme, registered consumers can purchase subsidized Solar BBM without requiring a QR code, ensuring a seamless and efficient transaction process.

In contrast, the full QR scheme necessitates the presentation and scanning of a unique QR code by consumers during subsidized BBM purchase transactions.

Joevan urged the public to take advantage of the ongoing registration period for the Precise Subsidy Program. To simplify the registration process, individuals can conveniently register through the subsiditepat.mypertamina.id website, the MyPertamina application, or by visiting their local gas stations directly.

“Our synchronized system enables swift and hassle-free registration for the Precise Subsidy Program,” Joevan assured.

This commitment to implementing precise subsidies aligns with the recent report from the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), which disclosed that the distribution of Pertalite fuel has already reached a notable milestone.

The realization stands at 9.26 million kiloliters (kl), representing approximately 28.44 percent of the allocated quota of 32.56 million kl for the current year.
