The government reported an additional 12,191 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday (23/1/2021). The total number of confirmed patients has now reached 977,474 cases since the Corona virus broke out in Indonesia.

DKI Jakarta became the province with the highest number of cases added with 3,285 cases, followed by Central Java with 1,875 cases and West Java with 1,809 new cases as of January 23.

Meanwhile, National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) expert Edy Massadiah confirmed that the Head of BNPB Doni Monardo has not yet undergone a corona vaccination.

The statement came following news that Doni Monardo was positively infected with Covid-19 after receiving the vaccine on January 13, 2021. Edy also said that Doni Monardo’s Covid-19 vaccination schedule was planned to be carried out next week.
