The development of Indonesia’s new capital city continues to pursue the targets that have been set. Therefore, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) will auction off more than 30 development project packages for the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) with a total value of IDR 23.7 trillion in 2023.
Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono conveyed this directly.
Basuki, at the DPR RI building, Tuesday (17/1/23), said, “The total value is IDR 23.7 trillion, that is for 30 (more) packages, not including PPP (Government and Business Entity Cooperation).”
He conveyed that the project package is for basic infrastructure development which will be carried out using the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) through the PUPR Ministry.
According to him, the project package is only the basis for work done by the APBN through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing which he leads.
Regarding the progress of the IKN development, the PUPR Ministry has started construction activities for infrastructure development in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) area for the 2022-2024 target.
Basuki said there were at least 40 construction activities for Rp. 25.98 trillion, including from the Ministry of PUPR’s 2022 regular budget.
“Until the third week of December, 24 activities totaling IDR 15.8 trillion had been contracted and at the end of December 16 activities had been contracted to total IDR 8.89 trillion,” he said.
However, several other activities, said Basuki, failed to be auctioned, so another auction must be held in 2023.
As for the reason for the failure, it was the result of several obstacles the reasons could not be stated, and there were incomplete documents.
