Taipei-Bali Direct Flights Is Officially Open

Chinese tourists will enliven Bali. This is because direct flight from Taipei to Bali have been opened. Previously, this route was closed for two years due to the pandemic.

General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Ngurah Rai Airport Handy Heryudhitiawan, Sunday (4/9/2022), said, “After more than two years of being closed due to the pandemic, the Taipei-Denpasar flight has resumed operations.”

The inaugural flight for the Taipei-Denpasar route was served by China Airlines CAL771, last Friday (2/9/2022). There were 163 passengers on this Airbus A330-302 flight.

Furthermore, China Airlines’ Taipei-Denpasar route will fly regularly twice a week, namely every Tuesday and Friday.

Handy explained, that before the 2019 pandemic, passengers from China ranked highest in Bali, namely 1,196,497 people. Followed by Australia with 1,137,087 and 377,543 foreigners from India.

Flights from China are a blessing for Bali. Before the pandemic, there were eight flight routes from several cities in China to Bali.

With the addition of flights from China, there are now 22 international flight routes to Bali. The international route is served by 24 airlines.

Handy added, that in the January-August 2022 period, there were 1,860,842 passengers on international routes.

“Meanwhile, the number of international airline movements during that period was 10,647 aircraft,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, as a form of appreciation on National Customer Day, the management of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport – Bali gave as many as 100 souvenirs to passengers who will depart through international and domestic terminals.

The distribution activities were given directly and were greeted with happy smiles by the passengers.
