Tomorrow is the last night in 2022. The Ministry of Transportation predicts that the movement of people during the 2023 New Year’s Holiday will exceed the 2022 Christmas period. However, the density point will be more concentrated in agglomeration areas.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation Adita Irawati said that her ministry is ready to face the peak flow of homecoming and returning for the new year’s holiday. According to her, there will be different patterns of movement at Christmas and New Year.
Adita predicts that the New Year holidays will tend to be shorter so local holidays are predicted to increase. For this reason, the agglomeration area will become the center of community movement.
“It is estimated that the community movement will be bigger than Christmas, especially movements in agglomeration areas such as Jabodetabek, Joglosemar, and others,” he said via text message, Thursday (29/12/2022).
