To celebrate the 497th Anniversary of DKI Jakarta, the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, through the Transportation Department, is offering a special fare of Rp1 for public transportation services including TransJakarta, MRT, and LRT. “In celebration of Jakarta’s anniversary, the DKI Provincial Government is offering a special gift to residents who want to travel using public transportation with a fare of only Rp1,” announced Syafrin Liputo, Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Department, in an official statement on Sunday (June 9, 2024).
However, it’s important to note that not all routes will be covered by the Rp1 fare. Here’s what you need to know:
For TransJakarta, no specific conditions are required for passengers to enjoy the Rp1 fare. The promotion will be valid from June 22, 2024, at 00.00 WIB until June 23, 2024, at 23.59 WIB. TransJakarta announced that the Rp1 fare applies to all TransJakarta routes, while Microtrans and TransJakarta Cares services will continue to be free of charge as usual.
In addition, MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) will also implement the special Rp1 fare for two full days on June 22-23, 2024. Ahmad Pratomo, Head of the Corporate Secretary Division at PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), stated that the promo would start at 05.00 and end at 23.59 WIB each day.
Passengers will need to “tap” their electronic cards at the passenger gate when entering and exiting (tap in/tap out). This fare applies to all payment methods, including the Multi-Trip Ticket (MTT), bank electronic money cards, and purchases through the MRT-J app.

For the LRT, passengers will also be able to take advantage of the Rp1 fare on June 22-23, 2024. “This fare will be applied from 05.30 to 23.00 WIB on June 22 and 23, 2024,” said Acting Head of the Corporate Secretary Division, Aris Rizal Arafah, in Jakarta on Tuesday (June 11), as quoted by Antara.
