489 Vehicles Subject to Fines, Here’s What You Need to Know About Zebra Jaya Traffic Rules Operation

    Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya noted that there were 489 vehicles that were subject to fines on the first day of the 2021 Zebra Jaya Operation, Monday (15/11).

    “489 were given a ticket (tilang sentence) and 286 were given a warning,” said the Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Argo Wiyono to reporters, Tuesday (16/11).

    The operation is planned to last for two weeks, from 15 to 28 November 2021.

    Unlike the Zebra Jaya Operation which was carried out in previous years, this time the prosecution of violations was not carried out through raids to avoid crowds.

    Joint personnel of the TNI and Polri will actively patrol the streets to take action against a number of violations by vehicle users.

    Location of Zebra Jaya Operation 2021 Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya has mapped a number of roads in the capital that will be the location of Operation Zebra Jaya 2021. The following are the details:

    South Jakarta on Jalan Fatmawati, Jalan Panglima Polim, and Jalan TB Simatupang. East Jakarta in the East Flood Canal (KBT), Jalan DI Panjaitan, and Jalan Mayor General Sutoyo. West Jakarta on Jalan S Parman, Roxy Grogol Petamburan area, and Jalan Daan Mogot. Central Jakarta on Jalan Gunung Sahari.

    Types of violations and fines

    There are at least three types of violations that will be prosecuted during Jaya 2021 operations, those are:

    1. Noisy exhaust (non-standard): sanction: imprisonment for a maximum of one month and a fine of a maximum of Rp. 250,000
    2. Fraudulent black plate sanction: a maximum of one month’s minimum fine of a maximum of Rp. 250,000
    3. Illegal racing sanctions: a maximum of one year’s minimum fine of a maximum of Rp. 3,000,000
