Apart from that, there is also the Krui Pro QS World Surf League (WSL) event. 5000 in June 2022 which has also increased the number of foreign tourist visits.

Meanwhile, the number of visits by domestic tourists (wisnus) to the regency in 2022 will reach 36,070 tourists.

“The number of domestic tourists coming to the West Coast in 2020 is only 10,615 (people), that number is far less than in 2021 and 2022,” he said.

Pesisir Barat Regency has an attraction in the form of beaches, including Krui Beach, Mandiri Beach, and Tobacco Beach. The beach in Krui has the potential to become a beach with the best waves in the world for surfing

Furthermore, West Coast Regent Agus Istiqlal said his area was blessed with beautiful nature in the form of a beach that is one of the best surfing destinations in the world.
He said the beach in Krui is famous for its good waves for surfing.

Tanjung Setia Beach waves have a height of between 6-7 meters and have long waves reaching 200 meters.

In addition, he continued, the beach waves at Krui are unique because the direction is not vertical, but from right to left.

According to him, the height and uniqueness of the waves at Krui Beach made surfers both from within and outside the country come to surf.

“In Krui there are 17 surfing spots. But the most famous one is Tanjung Setia,” he explained.
