A city shows its direction not only through policy, but through the way it celebrates. That idea came to life during the closing of Jakarta Festive Wonder. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government turned Halalbihalal Jakarta 2026 into more than a social gathering. It became a moment to highlight economic strength and reinforce Jakarta ambition to grow as an inclusive global city.
The celebration took place in the historic area of Kota Tua on Saturday (11/4). It marked the final highlight of Jakarta Festive Wonder, a program designed to bring together different cultural expressions across the city. The series featured a wide range of events, from Christmas Carol and Imlek Kolosal to the Ogoh-ogoh Festival and Jakarta Bedug Kolosal. Each one reflected the diversity that defines Jakarta.
Key leaders were present at the event. Pramono Anung attended alongside Rano Karno. In his speech, Rano Karno pointed to a clear direction for the city. Future development, he said, depends on strong collaboration across sectors and a commitment to social inclusivity.
Behind the vibrant atmosphere, the numbers tell an important story. The provincial government recorded that economic activity generated throughout the Jakarta Festive Wonder series, starting from the Christmas period up to April 2026, reached approximately Rp67.5 trillion.

Another figure adds to that picture. A homecoming program to Jakarta initiated by Pramono Anung generated transactions of around Rp20 billion. This shows that Jakarta continues to function as a major economic hub, even as people move in and out of the city in large numbers.
Rano emphasized that these results highlight something essential. Economic activity that is rooted in community and culture needs to be sustained. It plays a real role in supporting growth.
At the same time, Jakarta is moving forward with a broader vision. Cultural celebration is being combined with efforts to strengthen the local economy and accelerate digital transformation. Together, these elements are shaping the city’s path.
Jakarta is not just growing. It is redefining itself. Jakarta is an inclusive global city that stays connected to its cultural roots while making space for everyone.
