Indonesia is preparing for one of its biggest world-class events in recent years. From August 2026 through February 2027, the country will host an impressive lineup of international concerts, cultural festivals, global sporting events, creative exhibitions, and national celebrations. To showcase this packed schedule, the Cabinet Secretariat has officially launched the Indonesia Events Calendar 2026–2027.
The national calendar highlights hundreds of opportunities for both domestic and international visitors to experience Indonesia through entertainment, sports, culture, and tourism. More importantly, it reflects the government’s ambition to position Indonesia as a leading destination for world-class events while generating broader economic benefits across multiple industries.
“It’s time to explore Indonesia and enjoy a wide variety of exciting events across the country. From 2026 through early 2027, numerous sporting events, cultural festivals, music concerts, and national and international exhibitions will take place throughout Indonesia,” the Cabinet Secretariat stated on its official Instagram account on Sunday (July 26, 2026).
The initiative is part of a broader government strategy to strengthen tourism, the creative economy, sports, and the entertainment industry. Officials believe hosting more international events will not only attract visitors from around the world but also create opportunities for local businesses, including hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
“Indonesia is becoming increasingly prepared to host world-class events. These events not only provide entertainment and celebrate achievement, but also create opportunities for collaboration, stimulate tourism, strengthen local economies, and open new opportunities for people to create and grow,” the statement continued.
The schedule begins with an exceptionally busy August 2026.
