The latest iPhone series has finally been released by Apple. In the “Apple Event” which was held virtually, Thursday morning (8/9/2022) at local time, with the theme of the event “Far Out”, Apple officially released the iPhone 14 series consisting of iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. What are the latest advanced features?

The regular iPhone 14 doesn’t change much from the screen design. Meanwhile, drastic changes can be seen in the screen design carried out by the two “Pro” versions of the iPhone 14. Apart from that, Apple also provides quite a lot of improvements in the “Pro” model.

On the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 regular, there is no significant difference. Both look similar in terms of design, even the chipset, and camera. But Apple claims the specifications of the iPhone 14 are more improved than the previous one.

Apple is still embedding the A15 Bionic chipset as in the previous generation. This A15 Bionic chipset comes with a 5-core GPU, supports all the latest features, and renders graphics-intensive games and AR applications.

The Cupertino-based company also still embeds a 12 MP camera, but the sensor used is 1.9 microns with an aperture of 1.5 aperture. Don’t miss Apple pinning OIS. As a result, the iPhone 14 has a 49% increase in low light conditions from its predecessor.

One new thing about this iPhone is that it supports sending emergency messages via satellite communications. This means that the antenna on the iPhone can connect to satellite frequencies.

Both phones come in five color variants Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple, and Product Red.

Furthermore, like the previous generation, the iPhone “Pro” model comes with more qualified specifications, compared to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.

“This (iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max) is the most innovative “Pro” line,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook at the beginning of the presentation of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

As previously rumored, Apple is revamping the “notch” design that has been a hallmark since the iPhone X. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max now have a pill-shaped notch or an elongated oval.

The notch does not blend with the forehead like the previous generation but is in the form of an animation that can change shape and size.

“The bubble notch can move and change the size, adapting to the operation of the iPhone,” said Greg Joswiak, SVP, Worldwide Marketing at Apple.

Apple begins opening preorders on September 9. The iPhone 14 goes on sale on September 16, while the iPhone 14 Plus is only available on October 7.
Regarding the price, the iPhone 14 is priced starting at the US $ 799 (approximately Rp. 11.9 million). In comparison, Apple’s price is the same as when they launched the iPhone 13 last year.

The same thing happened to the Pro and Pro Max series. Both series from different generations are set at the same price when they were first launched, namely the Pro variant priced at the US $ 999 (approximately Rp. 14.8 million). While the price of the Pro Max is the US $ 1,099 (approximately Rp. 16.4 million).

As for the Plus variant, Apple at that time did not release this variant for the iPhone 13.
