Rumors about the visit of Cristiano Ronaldo (18/2) to Bali and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) are spreading across social media, sparking excitement among fans. However, no official confirmation has been made by authorities regarding the arrival of the Portuguese football superstar.

According to multiple sources, Ronaldo is scheduled to arrive in Jakarta today, Tuesday (18/2), for a humanitarian visit. He is reportedly traveling by private jet and is expected to land at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

Acting Governor of NTT, Andriko Noto Susanto, and Director of the Graha Kasih Indonesia Foundation in Kupang, Susi Maria Katipana, confirmed the schedule. Andriko mentioned that the information about Ronaldo’s arrival was relayed by the Graha Kasih Indonesia Foundation through the Head of the NTT Youth and Sports Agency.

Dr. Susy Maria Katipana, Director of the Graha Kasih Indonesia Foundation, revealed that Ronaldo’s visit is linked to a close friend who has connections with the foundation.

“We are very grateful because through his friend, Cristiano Ronaldo is willing to come to Indonesia (NTT and Bali) to carry out social activities,” said Susy Maria Katipana, as quoted by Bolasport.com.

The football legend’s visit is expected to positively impact Indonesian football and inspire communities, particularly the youth in NTT.

Meanwhile, Bali’s Head of the Tourism Department, Tjok Bagus Pemayun, stated that they have not received any official information regarding Ronaldo’s visit to Bali, including details about his accommodation. He noted that high-profile visits are typically kept secret until the figures have arrived.

“There is usually no information for top celebrities; their visits are never disclosed. News will only be released after they arrive,” explained Tjok Pemayun when contacted by the media on Tuesday (18/2/2025).

Should Ronaldo visit Indonesia and stay in Bali, Tjok Pemayun believes it would significantly boost Bali’s tourism by attracting public attention.

The excitement wouldn’t be limited to Indonesia alone but would also resonate with Ronaldo’s fans worldwide, numbering over 600 million. He pointed out that this would serve as free promotion for Bali’s tourism industry.
