Good News! Indonesia’s Economy Begins to Improve

Quoted from, Perry Warjiyo, Governor of Bank Indonesia said that economic growth in Indonesia was driven by improvements in community mobility in line with the relaxation of restrictions on community activities and acceleration of vaccinations, continued policy stimulus, the opening of priority sectors, and support for MSMEs, as well as continued high export performance.

Economic growth in 2021 is estimated to remain within the projection range of Bank Indonesia at 3.5 percent to 4.3 percent and will continue.

Realization of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2021 was recorded at 7.07 percent (yoy), a sharp increase from the contraction in the previous quarter of 0.71 percent (yoy).

Not only that, but Perry also added that economic growth was supported by business fields with a positive performance and increasing economic growth in all regions.
