The Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2023 created a buzz with its energetic and extraordinary ambiance, serving as a dynamic platform for various industries to present their latest innovations and foster valuable business opportunities. Over the course of 33 days, from June 14 to July 16, the event attracted an impressive attendance of 6.3 million visitors, cementing its position as a leading trade exhibition in Indonesia.
According to reports from Antara on Monday (17/7/2023) evening, the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2023 recorded a remarkable total transaction value of Rp7.3 trillion during its run.
Karuna Murdaya, the Commercial Director of JI Expo, expressed, “The total number of visitors this year reached 6.3 million people,” underscoring the significant public interest and engagement with the event.
This year’s transactions mirrored the growing popularity of the automotive sector, particularly electric vehicles (EVs), which garnered substantial attention from visitors. Renowned manufacturers such as Benelli and Polytron showcased their latest electric motorcycle models, captivating the audience with technological advancements and eco-friendly features.
Highlighting the presence of PT Benelli Motor Indonesia as the Authorized Principal Distributor for Benelli and Keeway, the event showcased their cutting-edge EV Anne, an electric motorcycle reminiscent of a Vespa, alongside two e-bike models—the Metro City and ADV.
Steven Kentjana Putra, President Director of PT Benelli Motors Indonesia (BMI), emphasized the strategic decision to bring electric vehicles to the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran this year, seizing the moment to invigorate the electric vehicle market and align with government initiatives.
The fair also witnessed an expanded participation of companies, with exhibitors setting up captivating booths that caught the attention of visitors. This vibrant atmosphere created ample opportunities for networking, collaboration, and business expansion.
The Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2023 concluded on a high note, with a grand closing ceremony featuring performances by renowned music group Kotak and the metal band Voice of Baceprot (V.O.B) from Garut, West Java. The event culminated in a mesmerizing fireworks display, marking the end of the exhilarating festivities.
Notably, the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2023 showcased the robust presence of 2,500 tenants and 1,600 booths, with 40 percent representing micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM).
This diverse participation highlights the fair’s commitment to supporting and promoting the growth of these vital economic contributors. As a result, the event is expected to create a substantial positive impact, generating employment opportunities for tens of thousands of workers.
