Jakarta PSBB is Extended: Mall-Dine In Opening Hours are Until 8 PM

DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan extended the large-scale social distancing (PSBB) period for the next two weeks starting Monday. The extension is contained in the Governor’s Decree Number 51 of 2021 concerning the extension of the period of time and restrictions on large-scale social restrictions on outdoor activities.

In the Governor’s Decree, Anies allowed the mall to open until 20.00 WIB or 8 PM. The regulation will take effect from January 26 to February 8, 2021.

“Activities at shopping centers / malls, limiting operating hours to 20.00 WIB,” the Governor’s Decree wrote, Sunday (24/1/2021).

In addition, Anies allows restaurant managers to provide on-site dining or dine-in for longer. Dine-in activities are allowed until 8 PM.

“Food stalls, restaurants, cafes, restaurants, street vendors / hawker stalls at fostered locations and temporary locations; restrictions on eating / drinking on the premises are 25 percent, dine-in is up to 20.00 WIB, food services via delivery going home is still allowed according to restaurant operating hours, “he said.

It is known that during the strict PSBB 11 January-26 January 2021, malls and eating in restaurants are allowed only until 19.00 WIB.

The Governor’s Decree was signed by Anies on (22/1). In the Governor’s Decree, Anies extended the PSBB to take effect from January 26 to February 8, 2021.

“To determine the extension of the enforcement, timeframe and restrictions on activities outside the home of large-scale social restrictions are for 14 days from January 26, 2021 to February 8, 2021,” as written in the Governor Decree Number 51 of 2021 , Sunday (24/1).
