Indonesian airport managers, PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) and PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) implement the latest air travel regulations today, April 5, 2022.

This regulation is following the Circular Letter or SE of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 36/2022 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel (PPDN) with Air Transportation during the Covid-19 Pandemic Period.

AP I President Director Faik Fahmi said in the SE of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia No.36/2022 it was stated that Domestic Travelers (PPDN) using air transportation were required to follow several provisions.

The first rule is that PPDN who have received the third dose of vaccination (booster) is not required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR or rapid antigen test.

Fahmi added, “Meanwhile, PPDN who have received the second dose of vaccination are required to show a negative result of the Antigen rapid test whose sample was taken within 1 x 24 hours or a negative result of the RT-PCR test whose sample was taken within 3 x 24 hours before departure as travel conditions.”

For PPDNs who have received the first dose of vaccination, they are required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR test whose sample was taken within 3 x 24 hours before departure as a condition of travel.

In the new regulation, PPDN with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that prevent travelers from receiving vaccinations is required to show a negative RT-PCR test result whose sample is taken within a maximum of 3 x 24 hours before departure as a travel requirement and the requirements must attach a doctor’s statement from a government hospital stating that the person concerned has not and/or is unable to take part in the Covid-19 vaccination.

Meanwhile, PPDN under the age of 6 years are exempt from vaccination provisions and are not required to show a negative result of RT-PCR or Antigen rapid test.

However, they are required to travel with a travel companion who has complied with the provisions of the Covid-19 vaccination and examination and implements strict health protocols.
Fahmi ensured that airport managers would carry out the latest instructions and regulations from the government in all managed airports.

Moreover, he is also committed to ensuring that the implementation of the Covid-19 health protocol always follows the applicable regulations to realize safe and healthy flights for all service users.
